A Portrait of David Foster Wallace

25.02.2009

Also in the New Yorker a long article about David Foster Wallace, another writer whose style I admire. It comes with an excerpt entitled Wiggle Room from The Pale King, the ufinished novel Wallace left when he committed suicide, September last year. Here's another excerpt.

I haven't come around to Infinite Jest yet. Too many other, shorter books I want to read. Maybe later this year. What to do, read the essay, read the excerpt, start the novel or go to bed early?

The New York Times has an excellent page with essays by David Foster Wallace, reviews and links to other online resources.
