Surfing Scheveningen Style

Even though the waves aren't high enough, when the conditions are good by local standards, during weekends people flock to the beach to hang around in the water waiting for that one wave which will allow them to surf for 6 or if they're lucky 10 seconds.

I think it looks very funny.

Conditions are much better for windsurfing and kitesurfing, but it seems that windsurfing is out of fashion these days. I sometimes see some guys kitesurfing, although they can't do many jumps, on a windy day they can reach very high speeds.

By the way, Scheveningen is a seaside resort in The Hague, it used to be a town, but it's now one of the districts of The Hague.
