The New Typography

Until 26 July there's an exhibition of the so-called New Typography movement at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. If you can't go to the exhibition, don't worry, you can watch some of the work on show in this online gallery. The modernist in me still gets turned on when he sees this or perhaps it is childhood nostalgia. I more or less grew up with this stuff. Here's a slideshow with work by Dutch graphic and industrial designer Piet Zwart (1885-1977) and another sildeshow with work by Dutch designer Paul Schuitema (1897-1973).
