My Favourite Films of 2010

Toy Story 3 (dir. Lee Unkrich). It is so well made. I love the details and the references to other movies. When they were all gliding down in that refuse incinerator I was like, no way, this cannot be the end, they can't do that to all those children watching it. Of course, they didn't, but it was tight.

Un Prophète (dir. Jacques Audiard). If you haven't seen it yet, make sure you do.

Exit Through the Gift shop (dir. Banksy).

The Illusionist (dir. Sylvain Chomet).

Des Hommes et des Dieux (dir. Xavier Beauvois).

Lebanon (dir. Samuel Maoz). Another great movie about the moral conflicts of war.

Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (dir. Apichatpong Weerasethakul). I have to admit that I didn't quite like it while I was watching it, but then to my surprise it lingered on in my thoughts.
