Comments: The Cimitero della Certosa, Via della Certosa 18, just outside the Bologna city walls, is a beautiful, and if I may say so, poetic cemetery. I was, once again, struck by the difference in the way catholic Southern European countries and protestant Northern European countries treat the deceased. Although some of the older tombs were falling apart most were well maintained. Wherever I went the flowers seemed fresh.
