Building: Walt Disney Concert Hall
Location: Los Angeles
Architect: Frank Gehry
Year of completion: 2003
Comments: The Walt Disney Concert Hall is one of the defining buildings of downtown Los Angeles. Its effect on the neighbourhood is similar to Guggenheim Bilbao, also by Frank Gehry. Interestingly Frank Gehry designed the Walt Disney Concert Hall before the Guggenheim Bilbao, but it took years for the design to be approved and construction to get started.
