Comments: Every now and then I count my blessings. One of them is to live in a city where I can escape the actual city. When I lived in London I had to travel so far and for so long to get to the countryside, that the journey made the trip only worthwile for a daybreak. It's the same with New York and Paris. By contrast in Los Angeles and Hong Kong it's fairly easy to escape the city, although in LA you need a car and in Hong Kong it's hard to escape the pollution of the air.
