The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia designed by Santiago Calatrava is a spectacular architectural complex. The City of Arts and Sciences is situated in the former riverbed of the river Turia. I visited the site in December 2005 shortly after the inauguration of the last major edifice, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia.
