Hljóðaklettar is an area of bizarre looking basalt formations near Jokulsargljufur in the Vatnajökull National Park. It's an amazing area and I'm glad I made the (long) detour from Lake Myvatn via Husavik to get there. I could have taken the 862 but I didn't want to take any risks with my rental VW Golf.
