Of course it is so for a reason. On a clear day the views from Reinebringen are amazing and Reine itself is a picturesque village. In 2016 construction began on a stone stairway to the top of Reinebringen to facilitate the increasing number of people making their way to the top as the old trail had been suffering from erosion. The stairway was finished in summer 2021\. Don't be mistaken: climbing a stairway is actually more strenuous than regular hiking. I saw many people suffer both on the way up and the way down. Just so that you are aware, finding a parking spot can be a challenge in Reine. But it's a small village.
