The Rosengartengruppe (Catinaccio in Italian) is a massif in the Dolomites near Vigo di Fassa and Canazei. The Rosengartengruppe is easily reached by cable car from Vigo di Fassa. The hike from Ciampedie to Campitello di Fassa by way of Gardeccia, Rifugio Vajolet, the Principe pass, the Antermoia pass, the Antermoia refuge and the Val Duron is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Rosengartengruppe.

Looking back toward the Antermoia refuge where I sat down for some Apfelstrudel. Still a long way to go to Campitello.
