I started keeping a list of the books I read back when I was at high school. I didn't always keep the list up-to-date. That's why I had to partially reconstruct it. At some point I also started adding ratings. They don't mean much, but they can be helpful. For example, I recently noticed that I tend to rate classic novels that have stood the test of time higher than novels that are being hyped or received rave reviews. I've therefore resolved to read more classics.
