I was a bit skeptical when I noticed a trailer for a new screen adaptation of The Great Gatsby. It's one of my favourite novels and I loved the theatre adaptation by Elevator Repair Service. But when I read that it is being directed by Baz Luhrmann I decided to watch the trailer. And wow, the trailer is awesome. It's got a great vibe with a soundtrack featuring No Church in the Wild by Jay-Z and Kanye West and a cover of U2's Love Is Blindness by Jack White. The casting looks great too, with Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan and Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway. The movie won't be in cinemas until December, but it is something to look forward to. I just hope that it will live up to the trailer.
