A short list this year, but Aeriality by Anna Sigríður Þorvaldsdóttir is one of the best contemporary classical albums I've heard in a long while. I also greatly enjoyed listening to Zlata Chochieva's superb recording of Chopin's complete Études. An Ocean in between the Waves by The War on Drugs is my favourite song of the year.
