I loved the Spring 2020 ready-to-wear collection by Noir Kei Ninomiya. As far as I'm concerned every single one of the designs was a highlight. Kei Ninomiya is the latest protégé of Rei Kawakubo to make a name for himself. Kei Ninomiya studied French literature at Aoyama University in Tokyo and then began his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. During a summer break he applied for a job at Comme des Garçons. After four years as a pattern maker, Kawakubo suggested that Ninomiya showed his work under his own name. I also liked the collections by Comme des Garçons, Junya Watanabe's combination of deconstructed trench coats and printed leggings and Thom Browne's straight out of Alice in Wonderland crinolines.
