Upon returning from my trip to the Eqi Glacier, the light in Ilulissat was magical. Inspired by the ethereal atmosphere, I eagerly booked a midnight cruise through the Icefjord. Fortunately, I was able to arrange the tour with the same company that had organized my excursion to the Eqi Glacier and Glacier Lodge Eqi. I spent the entire trip on the observation deck taking photos and admiring the amazing views.

It was well past midnight when I finally returned to my hotel. Strangely, after only a brief sleep, I awoke to find that the weather had shifted dramatically—the fjord was now shrouded in a thick blanket of fog.

I was told that if an iceberg has a smooth surface that means it has already flipped.

Notice the two small boats in the distance. I was on one of those as well.

Another iceberg as big as a small island. This one had already drifted further out into open water
