The Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord is located on the site of an abandoned ironworks, which was closed in 1985. It is currently an industrial heritage site: instead of being demolished, the old factory buildings, blast furnaces and Gasometer were either left to nature or redeveloped. The Gasometer is now an indoor diving pool and the ore bunker a climbing route. I have now visited the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord four times. It is an amazing site.
