I visit Paris about once or twice a year. I always try to combine visiting an exhibition, attending a performance and shopping. Over the years I've come to know the city quite well, but there are still plenty of areas that I'd like to explore or revisit.

Dirty realism in Paris

The Paris Metro

Left: Sacré Coeur; Right: Notre Dame (the view from the towers is amazing)

I should visit the catacombs again some time now that I have a better lens and camera

The Cimetière du Père-Lachaise on a drowsy winter day in January. It is so large, it's almost a village, with streets and alleys.

Since the vendors at Les Puces de Paris Saint-Ouen sell and display just random stuff you get these fascinating juxtapositions that would be hard to come up with deliberately. Recall the famous surrealist maxim "beautiful as the chance meeting on a dissecting table of a sewing machine and an umbrella", a line from Les Chants de Maldoror by Comte de Lautréamont.
