On my first visit to Tokyo, April 2006, I also visited the Tsukiji Fish Market. This was before it was overrun by crowds of tourists. I loved the hustle and bustle and the functional chaos of the place. When I visited again in April 2018 there were signs everywhere that photography was not allowed. I managed to snap a few shots in the after hours when the trading was done. I was lucky to be able to visit. The Tsukiji Fish Market was closed in October 2018 in preparation for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
