Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of Rajasthan. Jaipur is also known as the Pink City, due the dominant colour of the buildings in the old town. In 2019 UNESCO included the historic town of Jaipur among its World Heritage Sites. In 2007 I spent two days in Jaipur. I enjoyed walking around the old town.

For 10 rupee per person (at the time) the owner of the eatery would offer the people waiting outside a meal. Of course, I paid for the entire group and waited until everyone had received a portion. I did this whenever I saw some people waiting outside a bakery or restaurant and made many friends.

I did a classic trip through Rajasthan. Besides visiting Jaipur, I visited Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer before returning to Delhi.
