The Dana Biosphere Reserve is a nature reserve in Jordan in the area around Wadi Dana comprising approximately 300 square km. It drops from an altitude of 1,500 metres to the low-lying desert area of Wadi Araba. From Dana village, at the top of the plateau, you can see the lights of Israel in the distance. The Dana Biosphere Reserve is noted for its wide variety of plant life. I spent two nights in Dana Village, which allowed me to do two half day hikes in the Wadi Dana area.

Fida Canyon reminded me a lot of the Needles district in Canyonlands National Park in Utah
