Leirhnjúkur is a volcanic area in the north of Iceland with black and red lava fields, bubbling mud pools and volcanic craters. It is an amazing site.

The Námafjall Geothermal Area, also known as Hverir, is a wonderful site near Lake Mývatn in the north of Iceland.

The amazing Skaftafellsjökull glacier and the Svartifoss waterfall in Skaftafell National Park in the south of Iceland.
Reynisfjara
With it's black volcanic sands and unique rock formations Reynisfjara black sand beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Iceland.
Seltun
The Seltún-Krýsuvík geothermal area was my introduction to Iceland and to geothermal fields. It is an amazing site, not far from Keflavik Airport and Reykjavik.
Iceland
The summer of 2018 was one of the wettest in recent history in Iceland. Even so I had a great time and was able to make some decent photos whenever the weather allowed.

A day trip to Kyoto was too short. So on my second visit to Japan I spent three days in Kyoto, which again was too short.

I visited the Tsukiji Fish Market twice, in 2006 and 2018, before it closed to make way for the Olympics.

Osaka is Japan's second largest city. It has an entirely different atmosphere than Tokyo.
