The Alabama Hills is a range of rock formations at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada west of Lone Pine, California. The area is a popular filming location for movie and television productions. At my hotel I was given a map of locations where various classic Hollywood movies were shot. The principal reason for my visit was to take some photos of the stunning Mobius Arch with Mount Whitney in the background. The Alabama Hills offer some spectacular scenery and I regret that I didn’t schedule an entire day to explore the area.
