Reine is one of the most popular villages in Lofoten and the hike to the top of Reinebringen is one of the most popular hikes in Lofoten. Of course it is so for a reason. On a clear day the views from Reinebringen are amazing and Reine itself is a picturesque village. In 2016 construction began on a stone stairway to the top of Reinebringen to facilitate the increasing number of people making their way to the top as the old trail had been suffering from erosion. The stairway was finished in summer 2021. Don't be mistaken: climbing a stairway is actually more strenuous than regular hiking. I saw many people suffer both on the way up and the way down. It is worth the effort though.

The scenery as you enter the village. Just so that you are aware, finding a parking spot can be a challenge in Reine. But it's a small village. So just park your car, pay the fee for a full day and walk around.

Whichever way you look the views are amazing

Once you've made it to the top of Reinebringen there are various spots where you can stand or sit on the edge for the perfect profile picture.

The small harbour near Reine is highly photogenic. Of course, I was extremely lucky with the weather.
